Background and situation
Stuti finished her HBSc at the University of Toronto last November. After some travel, she spent about a year unemployed in Canada. She did coffee chats, spoke with alumni, and applied widely, but nothing moved. PR stress grew, she even thought about moving back to India, and she felt lost.
What Stuti liked about the coaching
Clear direction and focus. One-on-one guidance with Jayshree that felt safe and personal. A kind, active community board. The classroom library, especially LinkedIn optimization, was very useful. It was the structured plan she was missing when doing coffee chats and random applications on her own.
Stuti’s Exact Strategy
- Narrowed to one target: Project Coordinator roles in her field.
- Completed the mentor-recommended certificate.
- Optimized LinkedIn (keywords in headline, strong About, added certificates).
- Used the classroom to find gaps and asked for help fast.
- Followed the “10-10-10” daily actions for accountability.
- Used a vision board and a clear deadline (Jan 31) to stay on track.
- Kept learning with LinkedIn courses (e.g., Scrum basics).
The questions Stuti asked during the program
Which role should I target? Which certificate matters now? How should my LinkedIn headline and About read, and what keywords should I add? How do I show fit with little experience? What am I missing in the classroom work, and where should I ask for more help?
How Stuti landed the job
After she finished the suggested certificate and optimized her LinkedIn profile, a Project Director reached out to her directly. She had not applied to that company. Her profile had the right keywords, a clear About section, and visible certificates, so she showed up in their search. She spoke with HR twice and received an offer in four days. The range was $50K–$65K; she accepted $60K. Even as a newcomer to this field, she kept learning (LinkedIn courses like Scrum). The role is in Toronto, just 20 minutes from her home. This happened because recruiters often search LinkedIn to save time and contact a short list that fits well.
Stuti’s Message to Job Seekers
Do not blame yourself. Sometimes it is timing and the market. Keep your hope and your effort. Make a small plan you can do daily. Ask for help when stuck. Use a vision board if it helps you focus. Your job may not be posted yet, so keep going. When your profile is clear and your actions are steady, the right door can open.

Q&A With Stuti
1. How did it feel when you opened that email and saw the words: ‘Congratulations, you’re selected!’?
It felt unreal, grateful, and calm at the same time. Like a personal win after a long year. A big relief for my family and me.
2. Before joining MPM, what was your job hunt like, and how did that change after becoming a part of MPM?
Before: scattered roles, coffee chats, many applications, no results. After: clear focus, one target role, a stronger LinkedIn, daily actions, and an inbound message from a hiring leader.
3. Now that you’ve landed a job with a range/number salary, how do you think this will change your life, and your family’s life?
It brings financial independence, helps with PR plans, and eases my dad’s burden. I can support my siblings (my brother starts law school) and plan for a master’s later.
4. Was there ever a moment when you felt like giving up?
Yes, many times. Friends moved back, and I felt stuck. The vision board session and the community kept me going.
5. If someone is stuck right now, feeling invisible, rejected, and tired of applying, what would you say to them?
You are not the problem. Keep a simple plan, stay positive, ask for help, and keep going. Your time will come.
6. Why did you choose MPM, and what made it feel like the right decision for you?
A friend’s referral, a trusted community, clear resources, strong success stories, and real accountability. I compared options, and this felt right.
7. Now that you’ve attained this salary range/number, was the investment in MPM worth it?
Yes, 100%. It gave me structure, removed the desperation, and helped me land a $60K offer fast.
